“Can I get～” （キャナイ ゲット）
“Can I have～” （キャナイ ハヴ）
かな、っていう感覚ですが、どれでもOKです。
たとえばオレンジジュースがほしい場合は、
“I’ll have orange juice.”
といえばOKです。
もっと丁寧で、文法的に正しいのは、
“May I have a glass of orange juice?”
ですが、口語のときは上記で十分です。
さて、ドリンクが運ばれてきたら、
ウェイター/ウェイトレスが食事の注文を取ります。
このとき、まだ決まっていないときにはどういえばいいのでしょうか？
いろいろパターンはありますが、
今回は
“We need a minute”
を覚えておきましょう。とても自然な口語表現です。
これをいえば、彼らは引き返して、数分後に戻ってきます。
“We need a minute”といっても、1分きっかりに戻ってくることはないのでご安心を。
そして、再度注文をとりにきたときは、
“I’ll have Cheese burger and french fries”
で、ドリンク、食事の注文はOKです。
